It's definitely a light strap so I wouldn't hang from a building wall to support my weight. But I'm a wilderness firefighter and bought this to carry for this and it works great. Holds my pants Holds my tools. Easy to put on, easy to take off. It slips a little, but not so much that you have to constantly correct it. Fire season is just beginning, so I'll update my review once I have time to use it in the field. But for $$$ this is a good looking belt that I expect will work great.
