I have a big stomach and have found that double gauge nylon straps usually have sharp edges that dig into my stomach for days. Just got it today and it's very important. Wanted to add my size report. I have a 40 waist and the large fits me. As mentioned, for a 40 waist, the large one has about 9 inches of overlap, so you'll need to bring that and velcro. When I zip up, the end of the strap lines up with the end of the velcro, so everything is fine. If you don't want as much overlap, maybe go for a medium size. I don't usually go back and do product reviews but this one surprised me. This is my favorite belt. Every day I carry heavy objects on my belt. About 2 pounds. This strap never needs to be adjusted or tightened. I wasn't sure how much I would like the velcro idea. But now all belts are judged by the characteristics of those belts. I have also used double layered leather straps but I still prefer them for the comfort. I've even started wearing it with pants and shirts and it still looks…

Well it's my fault but I didn't notice in the product description that this item comes with a Velcro closure at the front end that folds in half to secure it after the Bend to secure . Which is really solid. But it's so thick that I can't get it through various cases, tool holders and the like, so I also ordered a slightly more compact version.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not anti-leather. But even a carnivore like me can admire this leather alternative. I wear a belt every day and expect my leather belts to last about 3 years. I only switch to this belt because I really like the durability of the material. Also, it's the same material as my EDC holster. I like to pass lol

I have been wearing the same belt for many years but I needed a larger size. I was a little surprised that the new strap is a bit thinner but still able to carry the item I need to carry. I am very happy with this belt so far and will buy it again if I need another one. (Though I can't imagine any of mine wearing out.)

this is the best belt I have. Except for another belt of the same brand, brown. Now you don't have to choose between "so tight my legs go numb" and "so loose I think my pants will fall off and all women will pass out", very durable yet stylish. It seems to be quality and I like the velcro that keeps the end of the strap in place. If I could give 6 stars I would. Inexpensive and works very well. Seems to hold up damn well, this new version has a velcro strap that keeps the strap straight. After three years the previous version became a bit fuzzy, it held up very well. I'm giving five stars because it's the cheapest piece of clothing I wear almost every day - seriously, I spend more every year traveling to buy new shoes than this belt, which I expect many to wear years. .
