This product would be perfect if it worked as intended. The remote control buttons do not work properly in most cases. Once you've got the product represented the way you want it, walk away and come back to a different color. I even tried a new battery and swapped out the washers when I didn't connect them properly. Vain. To return.

Downgrade due to problems with the remote control! Like the looks. Ease of installation. BUT after 3 months the remote control does what it wants. The colors no longer match the color button pressed, it can no longer just be a white light. Some colored buttons actually turn off the light. And one of the three lights is always a different color. Very embarrassing, sigh.

We bought this particular set because we wanted bright white light. Other sets of the same color were warm white and light yellow. What we missed in all the descriptions is that the multicolored set doesn't have the hands-free on/off sensor available in their other sets. They are only controlled by the remote control. Yes, they support all colors and brightness levels, but all we needed was bright white. They are thin and easy to install.

I bought it as a night light. They also work in low light, but the light isn't very bright. They replace the 2ft fluorescent light I've had for years. You cannot compare these lamps to similar lamps, they are not nearly as bright. But they are exactly what I wanted, the colors are beautiful, not flashy at all, very soft. Very happy with it. Looking for another place to install them so I can get another set!

I bought this to have task lighting and adjustable backlighting in the kitchen. I found the light output to be too low to be used as a work light.
