Great shoe even for beginners

I'm new to the world of bouldering. For the first few weeks, I wore rental shoes to the gym. It sucks. After I got my own pair of Black Diamonds, man, climbing just got a lot more fun. The rubber outsole is very durable and gives me a much better feeling. Of course they break something. Strong recommendation.

Pros
  • Two velcro straps to adjust the fit
Cons
  • Makes me mad

Good General Climbing Boots

Details: Slim shoe design. Compact and breathable. They are good at climbing slab walls, which is the opposite of overhangs. It's more of a climbing shoe. I also have Black Diamond Zones for overweight work. Everything about these shoes is legal, but when I put the heel hooks on, it hurts a bit depending on what you're holding on to. Although I usually use my BD zones for this type of climbing. The size is appropriate. I wear street shoes 10.5 but my feet are wide so I chose 11. Tight but well…

Pros
  • Neutral, low profile lasts for vertical climbing or all-day comfort
Cons
  • Fits

don't be like me fits shoes

This customer read great reviews for this product. the same size he rented from the climbing wall. This buyer is wrong. This customer had to wait an additional 3 days to get a second pair of the right size. don't be like me To be better. Order one size larger than your usual shoe size. I usually wear a size 11.5 to 12 and a size 13 fits me very well. Have fun climbing!

Pros
  • Soft, flexible midsole for more feel and comfort
Cons
  • No performance

Great shoes for beginners

I'm just getting into bouldering and I'm tired of using non-slip soft rental shoes. They work well and are very comfortable! I usually wear a size 12 (shoes pictured 12) in my regular shoes because I like a 'closer fit' but for these I ordered a 13 and did well! They are definitely an improvement over renting and seem to account for the 'reduction' that people are always saying you should do. Seems to be a great entry-level shoe!

Pros
  • Velcro
Cons
  • Style 90

No stop. waste of money.

NOT recommended unless you want to slide off the rock. Honestly I would like to return them. They sit well on the foot and fit well, but have zero grip. Before that I used cheap rental gear at the place I climbed and they worked SIGNIFICANTLY better than this. Every climb I slip either ends up going down a bad route or it takes so much upper body energy to stay on the wall that I can't do longer climbs than rented ones.

Pros
  • open
Cons
  • thin

The item is not as described.

The first ones I ordered were size 8.5 and they were small. I know mountaineering boots tend to run small, but they were way smaller than anything I've experienced in climbing shoes. The next set I ordered was a 9.5 and it fit a lot better, but for some reason it's not velcro anymore, it's laces now! Although I ordered the exact same "style" of shoes, for some reason the 8.5 came with velcro and the 9.5 came with laces. I will be returning both pairs and choosing a different brand, this one is…

  • Shoes

  • High price
