Very glad we got it! (I was hesitant due to the price and previous experiences with other toilet mats). The cat doesn't seem to mind walking on it (doesn't jump to avoid stepping on it) and picks up all the stray litter. There is still some filler on the mat, but our cat is ravenous. For me, being 5ft 8in is a bit difficult to manipulate easily for a reset. I can do it, but it's uncomfortable.

I did a lot of research and decided to buy this one because the holes were big and the stitching looked strong. I bought the largest available and placed it next to two cat boxes. I got this mat a few weeks ago and it has changed everything. If anyone has a cat ghost, you know how annoying those little balls are. They stick to your feet until you rip them off and they fly all over the house. This carpet completely changed that. I've attached a picture showing all the balls in the holes in the mat. I'm still trying and not quite sure if it picks up more dirt than a regular rug or even just a rug. It seems to pick up a little more dirt than the yoga toilet mat I paid $20 for, but it's hard to tell since it's on the carpet and some particles are still on the carpet. My cats used to carry trash all over the house. For some reason they have a habit of running out of the tray. I've been using this under cat litter for over two years. This solved our tracking problem. And it's easy to care for. He didn't smell. All the little holes hold a lot of dirt and the dirt stays in place. To clean it I simply hold it over the tray, open it up and empty any residue back into the tray. I do this when I change my sheets. Every once in a while I spray on the carpet cleaner, then hose it off and let it dry. Although I don't know how necessary it is. We use odorless, clumping filler.

There are several similar products but since I can't hide the cat litter in an inconspicuous place I wanted something that would work as advertised and look good. I also have an older cat who likes to choose a place - any place - for her business, often a bathtub or a doormat, so it was an expensive proposition if that was her next destination.
