The Decklink PCIe card works well.

The product does what it was designed to do. I first bought the BlackMagic Design Intensity Shuttle (an external device with a USB streaming option) as I was looking for more input options, but this product lagged behind a computer via USB 3.0. That's why I chose this afterword. It comes with several programs that allow you to choose which input to use (HDMI or SDI). Another channel viewer (and the ability to capture the source if you wish). I'm currently using the HDMI input to input external…

Pros
  • HDMI video input: 1 HDMI type A

Looks great, works great with the right tools

Dude, that's so cool! I use it with my Mac Pro 2019 and it's amazing. I'm using an HDMI input and you need to install the existing software to select the correct port. Otherwise it's pretty easy. I usually record in QuickTime. I tried to provide a recorder there and it's terrible, I can't even hear the sound during the recording. Then I tried OBS and these files took a long time to render in Final Cut and the audio drifted over time. I had no problems with QuickTime. In addition, a few seconds…

Unnecessarily limited input support

I'm giving this a very low rating because I think it's stupid that it doesn't support 1080p60hz. SDI port AND HDMI 1.4 port, both of which support 1080p60hz. The supplied software supports 60 Hz HD. And yet for some reason trying to send a 1080p60hz signal to these (either SDI or HDMI) just fails. No scaling, no "I'm trying" glitches, just a black screen. I literally plugged it into a Blackmagic HDMI to SDI converter and it still refused to work. The cameras I tried to connect to it don't allow
