Blackmagic Design Mini Converter CONVMBHS24K Review

I don't know why but I'm having trouble getting 1080p from this box. I know it's Layer B, but the switch I'm using works Layer B. 1080i works fine.

They work if you don't need a scaler. You can get the DECIMATOR MD-HX miniature HDMI/SDI cross converter with upscaling and frame rate conversion for the same price, and it has a scaler.

Amazing product that works right out of the box. Comes with all the power connections you need to use the thing anywhere in the world. Just a solid product. Used with a 125ft SDI cable and the video quality is impeccable.

Bought this for my dad before, still works great, expect it to last as long. The only problem with this device is the volume. This seems to muffle it, so you end up with lower volume levels on the digital side.

One of the most expensive converters but everything works with this device. Tried multiple input sources with no problems. Even the dreadful Chromecast converts correctly. (Many other devices I've tried don't handle this properly.)

I bought this to replace a cheaper converter and our church AV team is very impressed with the quality. We use it with a 22,000 lumen Barco projector and this converter delivers the brightness of the colors coming from our MacPro. Very impressed and would not hesitate to buy again or recommend to anyone.

Compatibility issues with some Samsung TVs. Bought 4 new TVs. Two 2015 models and two 2016 models. Didn't work on 2014 models. Used the $400 Aja converters and they worked. Used cheap $100 mono value converters and they worked. Went with $100 converters. Support was of little help. I found other people with the same problem in the forum.
