I bought these to replace the ones I made myself a few years ago to cover the clear leaded glass in our front door. I measured 39 inches for the length required and bought curtains that were 40 inches long. The actual length was shorter and I had to use the lowest point to cut the pole. The material was quite heavy but definitely blackout, which is what I wanted for privacy. The color was a beautiful burgundy. Didn't need tiebacks but they were good.

The quality of these curtains is absolutely first class. They insulate well as they greatly reduce the effect of the hot sun in our kitchen. My husband and I suspect the kitchen/dining room is up to three degrees cooler on hot days so our air conditioning doesn't have to work as hard. I would give 5 stars but the curtains were TOO SHORT! Just an inch. They are about 39 inches and I need a good 40 inches. I won't bother ripping out the edge and re-sewing or returning. So I couldn't use the bottom rod and had to let the curtain fly freely. Now the drawstring will slip and the loose curtain will get stuck in the open or closed door!
