Secure and Reliable: Blaylock Industries-2293 TL-50 Gooseneck-Style Coupler Lock Review

These locks work very well and I have a few. The neck of my newest pendant is a bit smaller than my other pendants and I found the lock was a little loose so I welded a small washer to the end to tighten everything up. Now it's tight and works like a charm.

The product appears to be designed more to deter thieves than to prevent theft. The piece has a major weak spot, a huge gap that can easily be blown away with a big hammer. I will look for a way to fill this gap and possibly prevent my trailer from being stolen. Aside from that, you get what you pay for.

The product arrived quickly with no damage. I bought this to use on a 2002 Featherlite gooseneck trailer. As previous reviewers have pointed out, it's a little tatty for my tastes, but still functional. Only gave it 4 stars until I see if a loose fit would be an issue. Should be easy to repair with a steel crowbar and a welder. but we will see. A determined thief will find a way to steal it. but must keep most people honest.

Bought two of these to fit my gooseneck horse trailers. Now I feel a lot more comfortable knowing those sturdy locks are in place and leaving them out. Stealing my trailers now would require far more effort than most thieves are willing to invest. I used heavy duty bolt cutter locks to secure them. Would highly recommend to people - especially with high end horse trailers - they are pretty damn close to perfect!

Heavy quality product. But may not fit your hitch. The packaging says "Fits any 2 5/16" gooseneck coupler" That's not true. I even went to their website to try and see if I could find a list of the types of clutches they cover/not cover - and it wasn't or I couldn't find it. Lock fit. it is strong. It seemed like all the boxes had been delivered until management of the barn we are in decided that all the trailers needed to be moved. I put this on a 4 star aluminum cattle truck. We go to many animal shows and rodeos. Usually, many followers stand still until it's all over. My goal was to make mine tougher than the next, hoping the thief would take the pendant with the least resistance. I think he will be successful in that capacity.
