I don't usually use public chargers because hacking is easy, but there's always a chance of getting stuck where necessary. These little blockers are very small and inexpensive so I ordered 4 packs. I will put one in each car and one in my travel bag. Cheap insurance.

I have been using this device since I received it. One can only assume that it can work as advertised if you didn't get infected with any data virus or unwanted adware while using the data blocker. To my knowledge, the data blocker does not notify the user when there are any unwanted attempts during use.

This device is designed to protect your mobile phone from any intrusion when using a public charging port. Nobody will ever know if it works. UPDATE: product B07985WW8C (EDEC brand) closes and blocks data *really*. It works with my Garmin, but this one doesn't, proving that it *does* something with the data or is faking the data. It seems like a trick that's only 50% useful and 50% useless. Thankfully it's cheap, but it doesn't appear to be compatible with I phones simply because it's not easy to plug into the power accessories you need to use in your car.
