Great concept but I've had major problems keeping many of these on the base concrete. Some got along well. It was most likely user error, but I would even wipe the concrete down with a damp rag (and let it dry) to make sure it was dust free. There were expensive ones so I was disappointed.

Knowing the uneven ground wouldn't make this leveling pen perfect, I was ready to work with it. However, when I received the product and saw that the contacts were bent due to the packaging, I realized that this was not acceptable and would be a waste of time trying to salvage it. The packaging should have some protection for the rubber pins to keep them straight.

I almost bought this after reading other reviews of poor packaging causing products to warp. And mine came in a plain package in a pimply envelope. Only a few had a slight bevel (see photos) and as I trimmed most of them down to an inch or less this wasn't a problem. Embossed text is a little hard to read but works. I estimate being able to buy 50 packs - at least one other seller has at least 250.

These little ones were great. We have leveled an area of 120 square meters. Feet from edge of feather to 7/8 inch at its lowest point. There were sections that went down 1/4 inch within 9 inches. We used a 12ft MDF baseboard, spacers and a level to lay everything out and then glued it to the concrete. They mixed the Mapei self-leveling plate and got to work. We leveled 1300 square meters ourselves. Feet with deviations from 1/8 to 1 inch. It was the first time we did that (God forbid the last time). These pens REALLY helped. Once the concrete is mixed and poured, there's no stopping. The pegs were a much-needed guide to determining where to push more concrete into an area and when to remove it.
