It gets the job done, pretty enough for me to display on the counter. The only downsides I can think of are that the bristles of the brush could have been nicer and the base is made out of fairly flimsy plastic. It would be nice if he were stronger. But I am satisfied and use it several times a week. I even bought another one in a different color as a gift.

If you have never used a ceramic ginger/garlic grater you will love it and think it's great. But if you had the Kyocera version, then that's fine. It's a beautiful thing and I bought it because of that beautiful factor, but functionally it's not a Kyocera. I love the little brush!
