At first I thought it might be too small, but for my kitchen stove it actually keeps the olive oil from going rancid too quickly when exposed to heat and light. Very nice cruet. Got some style. Tried full size glass bowls, tall and thin, and loved the style until I bought these. The size is perfect for making butter. I leave it on the counter and it's small enough not to take up too much space and makes a nice decorative piece too. I wanted something to cap the zudok and looked at a few options at the store but the cap works very well. It's easy to seal and remove.
