The 2 flute design allows for smooth cutting and reduced vibration. However, it may not be ideal for heavy-duty use. Overall, this router bit is a great choice for anyone looking for a reliable and efficient cutting tool.
Pros
Long-lasting carbide material for durability
Cons
Requires a specific tool or machine to use, limiting its versatility
I used this insert to cut a hole in this oak worktop for my farmhouse sink. Using a plunge router, I lowered the bit 1/2" at a time to cut the hole. The table top was oak and I had no problem cutting it. There weren't even any bit burns!
I bought this particular bit because Bosch has always worked well for me, this solid carbide (I think they also make a high speed steel version her) and the price was excellent compared to the equivalent Freud nozzle. This worked great for the slots I needed to make. It dived well and made very smooth cuts.
