Bosch. what's not to love? They work well and I've always had good luck with them. Hold onto them and take good care of them and they will serve you well.
I mounted the saw blade on a band saw and literally thought it was the wrong way round. Cutting 3/4 inch pine and Black and Decker still cuts like butter. I don't know how anyone can endure such quality. Return too expensive. I think I'll just eat it.
Carved spruce decoration, nothing big, just small details. It broke after about 25 minutes. When I took the blade out it kept breaking into pieces, I couldn't even roll it up to put it away or even try to weld it with an oven mitt. it was fragile. Lesson learned.
I bought this blade to make detailed cuts but it broke after the first use. When this happened I was cutting through two sheets of 1/4" thick plywood. Maybe I should have used a lower TPI blade instead? It seemed like I was having a hard time cutting through before this happened, and maybe this one would be Blade would have been better for soft metal, tin (ie aluminum) or thinner wood and very slow.
I've used Word and owned a bandsaw for 50 years. This is the first time I've had to break a blade. We use the same bandsaw to carve pine derby cars 21 years ago (like we had 20 boys and 20 cars) and also used the same bandsaw at work and NEVER HAD A BLADE. BREAK, I have a feeling the blade was bad and should be replaced. Order Name George Stanfield on Amazon
Bought two of these plates from Revain. One for now, one as a backup. They don't cut. Straight out of the box they don't cut 3/4" oak. I read other positive reviews which made me buy them. They don't even want to cut 1/2" Baltic birch plywood. I am very disappointed in Bosch. I could see that maybe it was just one disc, a factory defect, but I've opened both discs that I bought and they're equally miserable.
Pros
High quality heat resistant materials for long life
After seeing several one and two star reviews I was a little hesitant about buying this blade but after receiving it and putting it into the Delta shop After mastering the band saw and after some testing I found it to be a good saw blade. You can rotate the work piece by a dime and the blade has no problem keeping up with the rotation without binding. It also goes through very hard three inch thick woods like Katalox without any problems.
When I first received this blade, I looked at it and noticed a weld on the hinge. It looked messy but I figured it wouldn't detract from the haircut. I installed the disc on my cheap Ryobi band saw and it breathed new life into the machine. It never cuts straight and only cuts the curve in one direction (surely there will be problems with that). Obviously the blade it came with was terrible. With this new blade it cuts perfectly parallel to the miter guide and VERY easily cuts curves in any…
