The saw blade was difficult to find, most hardware stores only have a few blades. I'm thinking about the order right now and I'm very happy to have received it quickly. I won't even run to the store.
The bandsaw blade was too rough for fine cutting of jewelry and the like so we sent it back. We were glad they could be returned and we got our full payment back. Many Thanks.
These blades are of average quality and will stay sharp for a short time when cutting hardwood, oak, maple and cherry. They do better with soft woods like spruce and cedar. They are relatively cheap so you get what you pay for.
I have bought 8 of these blades in the last 6 weeks and so far only 2 have worked well. Some had blunt teeth that cracked the underside of the pieces I cut. Others broke at the weld in less than 2 hours of use. Would NOT buy again.
Never buy a band saw from Bosch if you intend to use it. All the sizes I've ever tried are the same! Make sure you order the "recommended size" for your machine. I have a Craftsman 80" in the mid 60's and it's a Boss! However, there isn't much information out there on blade specs. During this EXPENSIVE and tedious time I have learned that you need to check your blade thickness. Yes they are cheap but you get what you pay for. And they are very very cheap. I'll pay more money for someone else's longer lasting blades.
Every tooth in the blade was fine, but near the weld they somehow managed to stick out a huge tooth twice as far as the others. Not in a drink, but forward! I've never seen this before and have been using a band saw for over 35 years. So I had to hand sharpen this criminal before he broke the thin blade. Of course, Bosch can do better than that.
