I bought this drill to drill through a brick wall so I can run cables. I went about 3/4 through the brick and the carbide tips fell off. I have contacted Bosch regarding this and they have stated that it is NOT designed for drilling into brick although the description says it is for masonry. By definition, brick is masonry. I used this bit for about 7 minutes and it was completely destroyed. I drilled a 65mm hole in 2" x 8" and 2 of the 4 carbide drill bits broke off (500rpm). I'm so angry now because it took 30 minutes of work with this drill bit to 2 hours of manual labor to chisel the hole and it's nowhere near as neat and clean as using a bit. I wouldn't recommend this at allโฆ
Disappointing performance, especially considering you're paying a premium dollar for these crowns. These are general purpose, construction/industrial quality hole saws for cutting light weight masonry, tile and WOOD. While drilling a 2 x 12 beam I hit a cheap soft metal Chinese nail and 2 of the 3 carbide teeth broke. I would expect this from no-brand hole saws designed for homeowners, not made for construction and priced well under Bosch. Bosch is said to be a top of the line product so againโฆ
