Great sound, but there are many technical problems!

The left earphone often loses connection with the right ear when listening to music. The left ear suddenly completely disconnects from the right ear when listening to music, and once it does, it's difficult to reconnect. I updated the firmware hoping that would fix these issues, but it didn't. I really wanted the firmware to fix the frequent left ear disconnection issue because I was dying to keep these headphones. I have had so many Bose products over the years and they are very expensive…

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • A dubious purchase for the elderly

I read the reviews and felt compelled to write them myself as I recently bought a Bose SoundSport Free headset. Many of the reviews were one side or the other - there were no 'full' tests or comparisons (especially where shortcomings were pointed out), with little understanding of what the 'user' was looking for in terms of experiences. With that in mind, here is my high-level review. I am using firmware version 1.4.5. Audio: excellent. I have several headsets (Sony, Beats, Sennheiser, Bose…

Comparison with other Bluetooth and wired headphones and sockets

I had my sound port free for about 2 weeks. I wanted to express myself from my point of view on the topics addressed and what is important to me. I also have a Jaybird X3 for training; Apple AirPods; Bose Quietcomfort 20 wired noise cancellation for air travel and the office; and a QC-25 with wired noise cancellation for flying (used before I bought the QC 20). Left ear muting – this happens when there is electronic interference; walls/floors with certain materials between you and the Bluetooth

Pros
  • High-quality workmanship
Cons
  • Socket required
