. After the bursts of suction on the lid, squeeze the edge of the bag, all is well. I've gone the bagless miser route and found that you end up going back to all that disgusting stuff you just vacuumed while cleaning your bag. Pooh. Cleaning that disgusting bag was ridiculous.

These bags fit as expected and still didn't "explode" like the last pack on second use. You'll have to fiddle with them a bit to make them fit. I now use a cloth bag instead of a paper bag because the last batch of bags tore the seam. So far I have not experienced this with this brand/batch.

I use the vacuum cleaner in the household. Lots of cat fur (4 saves). At first these bags didn't exist and it was a mess. The bags make cleaning easier. It takes little force to slide the bag into the filter area and around the center cone. The rim is a bit loose but once the vacuum cap is on and secured it works very well.

These Hoover bags will NEVER burst. Whenever I've bought a versatile Hoover brand, they've split open at the side seam. Update 4-2-17: Well I've had pockets that burst after heavy use but usually when I overflow them or suck up large hard objects like sticks, wood shavings etc. I now use tape reinforcement along the seam with both sides and found that extra effort in the world matters. and certainly better than cleaning the inside of the vacuum cleaner if the seam tears.
