BQLZR SCS8UU Linear Bearing Bushing Review

I bought these because I knew the bearings were going to be crap. Surprise surprise, crappy bearings. That being said, I bought these because I needed pillow blocks for the other bearings I bought Pros: The bearing blocks are well made, it was cheaper to buy these bearing blocks than to buy a pillow only blocks Cons: Crap bearings Be sure to buy the LM8UU package with them as you will get most of them , if not all, need to be replaced with new bearings.

The bearings have a lot of play between them and the aluminum block. If this is not enough, then 4 mounting holes are not cut to the end, the metal is very soft and cannot hold a tightened screw, and the holes are not evenly spaced. I can deal with misplaced holes but they are the same but the sizes differ significantly (0.05" on average! They are awful! Don't even try to use more than one per string rod as they will stick due to misalignment remain, thanks to the terrible misplacement holes.

When installing these pillow block bearings I noticed that they rocked side to side and up and down. At first I assumed that there was play in the ball bearings.. This wasn't the case once I removed the locking ring and the bearing just fell out, then I found that the holes were too big and the bearing itself was the cause of my sloppiness the block unusable for me it's me i'll leave them one day to open up the hole and use it with the 3/8th bearing i have linear bearings aren't bad per se a…
