A little too small for straining kefir so I bought it but it's strong and doesn't melt in the dishwasher hence five stars.

Very durable and functional. Difficult. The drain holes appear to be normal sized. The larger of the two should be used more often. Good size for a handful of grapes.

I'm so fed up with supposedly rust-free sieves rusting on me. This is great because they don't rust and come in a handy smaller size. This works well for me when I want to rinse a handful of berries for granola or other foods I use in cooking like capers.

I don't know how they measured them. I suspect the handle is towards the edge. The size for this type of item is usually given as the size of a basket and not that of an item with a handle. I don't even know what we can use that for measurement. Maybe two strawberries in the larger one and 5 blueberries in the smaller one, but that's about it.

Beautifully finished in bright, pleasant colours. Very easy to clean and use. The surface is both hard and smooth. The holes are just right, with no edges, and there are a lot of them. Contains locking edges that rest on the neck of a container, bowl or mug. The smaller colander is sized perfectly for extra wide Mason jars.
