🔋 Brentwood P-OST722 Replacement Glass Jar Set, Compatible with Oster Blender, 0.33 Gallon Capacity Review

My wife dropped and broke the glass of our almost 50 year old Easter blender. After reading the generally unsatisfactory reviews of modern blenders, I figured the best solution would be to try and replace the broken glass. This jug and associated parts fit perfectly and work just like the real thing! Kudos to Oster for providing spare parts for a 47 year old machine, especially in today's throw away society.

The screw-on plastic base of this shaker WILL DESTROY IN MAXIMUM 90 DAYS. I had to replace them at a rate of one a month for several months. I'm not even joking. In the last three months in a row I've had three replaced under warranty. I'm starting to feel like an idiot for continuing to use this blender, especially with my wife in the ear. But the mixer itself is great! Why not make it more durable or even metal? Easter, are you listening?

Ok, it works but not as it should, so it doesn't (properly) match Osterizer model or service number 6650 - 375W mixer . This is because the plastic base on the glass jug needs to be slid up to accommodate the blender's drive shaft as the drive shaft is above the base on the engine block. This means it shakes a lot and isn't stable when you turn on the mixer, maybe not a big deal but it's not what it should be. It works and mixes, it's just not stable. The first arrived smashed, the second arrived 3 days later safely. Cheapest way to replace my original. The jug is slightly smaller than the original jug, the blade and base are also different. I used my original base and blade and it worked. I doubled the gaskets, using the original under the blade as usual and the second on top of the blade, but screwed it to the base. The threads on this blender jar are a bit twisted so I figured a different gasket could be used to prevent leaks. Works great

So I finally ditched my original glass Easter Mixer Jar and it was cheaper than a real replacement. Used every other day to blend two hot coffees for less than a month then the base broke, not really. Of course something happened, but it fell apart when I unscrewed it (with gasket and blades) from the glass jug to wash it. I bought this to have a second jar for my Easter blender. While not exactly identical to the original, it's beefy and works great. The glass jar is thick and durable, and the bottom parts fit the blender and jar perfectly.
