🔥 Breville Smart Grill with Ribbed Plate - BGR820XL Review

This plate does not fit my griddle. I ordered from the seller on Revain and it came new, in a box - or turned out. Called Breville and was told the problem could be that this plate was most likely made for an older model. So just know, if it doesn't fit, it's one of their old record designs, probably the one that fit the very first model. I don't know for sure, other than that it doesn't fit in the top of the grill. Good temperature control over 5/6 of the surface. For some reason they chose to leave a non-heating, non-cooking zone in the top left corner where the heating element plugs into the stove. It heats up but doesn't boil anything, and until you realize it's a dead zone you'll be disappointed. The other 5/6 plates heats up just fine, except the plates aren't really perfectly flat, so a thin pancake or egg runs toward the drain. Amazing grill. I've cooked bacon, veggies, burgers, eggs, and pancakes with no problems! Grill marks actually remain on vegetables and meat. I bought another set of plates, a flat plate and a cooking grate! Grease enters the pan as intended. I love storing fat with bacon. I am sure! But it's bacon fat!
