20-Pack Blank Wood Boards for Crafts - MDF Chipboard Sheets (12x12 Inches) Review

These are heavy and durable boards. They are really flat and don't deform at all. They accept gesso and oil paint with ease. The only negative and in my opinion the biggest one is the smell of the board. If you buy them, you can put them outdoors for a few days before bringing them indoors.

Most parts are the same size, neatly cut and ready for optimal use; However, 5 out of 40 have torn, jagged, or chipped edges. I'll do with that instead of lugging the entire order to UPS or Kohl's for return shipping and replacement. [I did this on another recent/similar order from another supplier and received exactly the same incorrect item as a replacement.]

I agree with all other reviews posted here. This is a strong, durable MDF board, perfectly flat and easy to work with. But if you're buying it to use with a laser engraving machine (I use Glowforge), note that it's much denser than the drawing board that Glowforge sells. I had to do multiple passes at a slower speed just to cut through it, whereas the roughing board sold by Glowforge cuts cleanly in one pass.
