I am giving 5 stars because while I can buy locally I can buy $2 cheaper because I have a car and can drive when I don't need gas and then drive 6 miles go where I can then spend more money on other things I don't need and then drive home and make the drivers regret the other things I got the next day and found that so easy. It holds up like any other and the color is black. OMG it is actually as described in the description. So buy it, save money on gas and other stuff you don't need.

I'm not sure if it's the amount of ink in these cartridges or my printer, but the ink runs out very quickly even though I never print anything other than black and white copies. Even the black ink disappears too quickly. I print less than 5 pages a month and most of those are a lot less than full pages. The reds, blues and yellows are never used, but the ink runs out about every 3-4 months. I think it's redundant.

I bought this a few months ago to print mailing labels. I printed maybe 10 pages of labels and can't remember more than a dozen or so other pages printed since then. Absolutely, I didn't print more than 50-100 pages at standard dpi, period. Today my printer is requesting more ink even though there is still some left. The software won't let me print until I run out of ink, so now I have to use a different cartridge to print a page. Very, very annoying.

Although I bought this cartridge a few months ago, I sealed it and only installed it a week ago. Well I had to clean the print head TWICE which used up more than half the ink. It's already 1/4 full. I specifically bought a Brother cartridge thinking it would be a perfect match and give me exceptional quality and value. This was definitely not the case. So I think it's going back to cheaper, "fake" cartridges!

This is ink. I have to have it, that's why I'm buying it. There isn't much to check. I don't know what transparency is in terms of ink. The print quality is good and the price is right. I once made the mistake of buying generic brand ink and when I put it in the printer I was warned that this could damage the printhead, which has happened with generic brand ink, so now I always buy the brand of ink the printer manufacturer sells .

I have almost 75% black ink in my printer, but text documents still cannot be printed without color cartridges. This product is useless alone and needs to be bundled with paint. No matter what setting I choose, I can't print a simple form until I now buy more yellow ink to print in black. The low rating is due to the fact that this is the first black ink cartridge I've seen that I can't print anything black with. Apparently, according to Brat himself, he lacks the "quality" to print.
