A useful guide to neat stitches

A good helper to improve quality and get neat stitches. The ease of assembly and disassembly is an essential help. The only downside is that the threads of the edge of the fabric regularly get caught under the guide, which can lead to fraying of the fabric, and also to "sticking” of the fabric when sewing.

  • Lots of positive emotions

  • Price

Information. The description was wrong

I ordered this product despite the bad reviews. I looked at the list of compatible sewing machines and the one I have (Brother PC420PW) was on that list. Well, the seam guide didn't even come close. I have contacted the seller and asked for the listing to be corrected. (You should have done this after the first reviewer got into trouble.) My advice is even if your model is listed, check it out first.

  • Inspires confidence

  • Almost everything is there

Other Brother SE400 Fit Confirmation

One of the selected vendors on this list from whom I purchased this sensor advertised this sensor under Brother SA538 but when I received it it was packaged in a box with a lockable seam guide. The sensor was also slightly different - the top of the screw was white instead of orange. Luckily it still fitted my Brother SE400 - so just a word of caution. He still had measuring guides and all!

  • Alright!

First check the compatibility of the needle plate.

Ideal for precise stitching. Please make sure it is compatible with your machine before ordering. Your machine should have a screw hole on the right side of the needle plate. As you can see from my pictures, this works with my Innovis NQ900PRW but not with my CS-6000i. (I knew this before ordering.) It's adjustable, so you can set it to a variety of widths, not just the ones marked. (1", 1/8", etc.) Just measure with a needle and put in place. It's also great for getting an even top stitch…

Unofficial Equivalent

I bought this guide. I'm pretty sure it's not a Brother accessory, it's generic. It even looks different: on Brother's official site, the screw is orange, on this one it's white. My problem is that you can't tighten the screw without putting pressure on the needle plate, which causes the bobbin thread to constantly feed. It was a painful sewing project until I realized the problem. I removed the seam guide and voila, the problem was gone. I experimented with loosening the screw, but all it did…

My unit wasn't on the compatibility list but I have the small screw hole in the bezel mentioned in the Q&A so I thought I'd give it a try . It works great when the needle is in the middle position. My only criticism and reason for giving 4 stars instead of 5 was that I would have preferred the guide for those curved stitches to be closer to the foot and needle e.g. B. inclined backwards instead of forwards, or was wider. I'm glad I bought! Readers, please take 1-star ratings with caution. Being

A must have for any drain with Brother with a hole in the plate

I have one of those fancy Brother electronic machines so there are no magnetic rails for it. Before purchasing I checked the Brother website to see if it was compatible as my Project Runway device is not listed. This piece fits perfectly in the right panel and is measured from the needle in the center position. Of course my Brother machine always sets the needle to the left by default, but I can add 1/4 inch - no problem! Or I can move the needle to the center. In any case, this guide saves! I…
