📏 Brother ScanNCut Mat CAMATS12: 12x12 Scanning Mat for Custom Designs, Non-Tack & Efficient (Packaging May Vary) Review

I was under the impression that I could use this mat to scan and cut the patterns in my scan without using my sticky mat that sticks to the paper and is difficult to remove. I was disappointed when not only did I use my sticky mat to scan my drawing, but my scanning and cutting didn't even find the mat to read. When I used the mat and found it didn't work, Revane didn't take it back. Absolute waste of time and money

I recently purchased a Scan n Cut DX125 from HSN. I ordered a Brother scan mat from Revain two days ago, but the machine does not recognize it. I looked at various websites for troubleshooting tips, including cleaning the scanner glass and mat. Still does not work. Went to the Brother site, no luck. Apparently the mat is defective or I ordered the wrong mat for this car. Hope someone can help me.

I bought this mat to scan some of my stencils. This allows me to create a one-off copy that I can use with permanent paints and inks. The original stencil remains and I don't have to worry about keeping it clean. Smudged stencils can be more difficult to place in the exact spot on the page since you can't see through them as easily. I discovered this mat after a couple of my stencils got really dirty and I found a YouTube video suggesting this alternative.

I am very glad that I invested in the scan mat. I used a regular matte but this gives me a much better scan and there is a clear overlay to ensure everything stays in place. I also like that the machine reads the mat type and tells you not to cut with that mat. It helps when I accidentally hit the cut button instead of the scan button. I recently made a jigsaw puzzle for my kids by scanning the jigsaw puzzle template and then cutting out the image. All details fit perfectly.

I use this with my ScanNCut and it works great. Nothing more to say than this is exactly what I needed and I love that I can scan whatever I want without worrying about running out of glue on a standard mat. Very happy with this scan mat. I already have the standard mat that came with my Brother Scan N' Cut 2 and I'm having trouble scanning and cutting. To cut I had to remove the plastic cover from the mat and when I had to put it back it flattened completely and then the machine said it couldn't see the mat. I figured I'd be better off just having one for scanning and the other for cutting.
