⏳ Browne 60 Minute Long Ring Timer: Precision and Efficiency Combined Review

This timer is inaccurate. I did 3 tests for 1, 5 and 10 minutes. More than 2 minutes late in 5 and 10 minute tests. Also, you need to turn the timer after 30 and then back to the desired time. It doesn't work for what we intended to use it for. To return.

It tells the time perfectly and rings long enough not to miss you when you're doing other things (you set the timer for that, after all). It's so much better than the classic car we've had for decades and which I've repaired countless times because we've never seen anything like it in stores. Judging by some reviews there are either many "deaf" Revain customers OR there are two versions of this timer. The "version" I received can be heard two houses away. This is a loud and long alarm clock. And pretty accurate. And like most serious kitchen appliances, it will break if you drop it on the floor. I love it. The price can only cheer.

When she first made oatmeal cookies with it, she informed me that the timer was off. She was nowhere near warmth. Loud ringing in my ass! I need a timer that rings loud enough to hear from my basement where my washer/dryer is. I couldn't hear that thing in the next room with the door open! It has a tinny, muffled sound that is generally poorly tolerated. If washer and dryer manufacturers included an audible sound in their timers, I wouldn't be watching. By the way, my hearing is absolutely fine. I was recently told this is so good the doctor was sure no one was talking behind my back!

I wanted a mechanical timer (no batteries). Judging by the reviews, I expected it to replicate my mother's sturdy, well-designed timer. But at that price I should have known better, right? I don't know what the complainers complain about. I bought this to replace a 25 year old identical one that eventually died (broken gears). And it's the SAME: If I remove the screw and look under the bell, I see the same combination of nylon and metal gears as in my old, dead one. Still, and great value for money. Great timer. I like the design. It's a good size and I like that it has a long ring. It's not very loud, but if you're close by, you can hear it perfectly. The great thing about it is that it's well made and durable and will outperform what you're currently selling in stores or even compare it to some on Revain. The numbers are clear and easy to read.
