Connection problem - antennas

This antenna is good but the connection is a bit difficult. If you screw the connector tightly to the back it won't work, you have to start threading and twist slowly until it connects and stops. If you go too far, the connection will be broken. After connecting, the reception is good.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Communication with seller

Orientation of the antenna to the west.

Point the antenna west and it works perfectly. The signal is perfect. I am very happy with this antenna. The antenna was very easy to install. There was an old mask hanging from the chimney and I attached it to it, ran the wire along the wall of the house and connected it to the system and everything worked perfectly.

Get this antenna for better reception!

WOW what a difference in reception. I had a small folding antenna and when it was windy I lost reception. I just installed it and here in the north east the wind is howling, the radio works fine. I should have done this a while ago, it was frustrating to lose signal on something you pay for!

Connected, received and governed.

Designed primarily for pole mounting. I cut a mounting rod and drilled it to fit over the extended end of the L bracket attached to my outside wall. I wanted something indiscreet, but still have enough flare to "see" beyond the eaves and gutter and align with the XM satellites. Decent reception with good length and well-made cable.

The default antenna is not updated.

Easy to install and setup. Rugged, durable cable connections are weatherproof. The downside is that it's no better than the antenna that comes with the radio. I thought since it is higher up and the description says there is an amplifier built in it will receive a signal better, unfortunately this is not the case. If you are looking for a replacement this is a good product but not an upgrade.

Trees were interfering with window antennas

Our trees were interfering with satellite antenna signals in the window, what should I do? This is a surprisingly simple fix. I already had the tube for the TV antennas and anemometer so it took less than 2 minutes, then I ran the cable parallel to the antenna wires down to the entertainment center and voila in less than an hour. Above! Even if I hadn't set that up, it would be a pretty easy install, just like installing a cable or satellite dish. really sweet!

TERRIBLE! in Audio & Video Accessories

After a long research we bought this antenna for our SiriusXM Boombox from the workshop. Installation was fairly easy but took a couple of hours due to the husband having to drill holes for the cables to get into the workshop. Connected the antenna to the ghetto blaster - NOTHING! Tried troubleshooting - nothing. Contacted Revain technical support which was offered when the product was not working properly and the rep had no idea what was wrong or how to fix it. So now we have holes in the wall

A must have for reliable home use

As many other reviews have said this antenna is fantastic! I installed mine on the side of the deck railing and had no problem getting a signal. I bought this antenna because I've tried the SiriusXM "At Home Kit" antenna in several places around the house and couldn't get a good signal. This antenna plugs directly into the base included in the home kit without any modifications. I routed the cable through the tube to the main living room and had about 30 feet of cable left. Overall this is a…

Ideal for camper trailers

I installed this on the roof of my RV so I can use the SiriusXM radio when camping. Mine has been pretty finicky since I installed it. When installing, I used my fingers to tighten the wire to the antenna. Tried the radio and was told no antenna was found. I checked the cable, it was fine, and so was the radio. There are no problems at these ends. I started unscrewing the cable from the antenna and suddenly it worked. I have found that the antenna only works if the wire is screwed in a few…
