Firstly, I was not supposed to receive this product until March 18th, but I received it on March 14th. That doesn't justify 5 stars for me, but it doesn't either. it doesn't hurt either. This short and hard brush is great for exfoliating the skin and avoiding dead skin on your beard. I use it every day even when my beard is just growing out. This is a necessity. This normal soft ZilberHaar brush is great for the rest of the time. You don't want to constantly scratch your skin while brushing (with this brush from Rocky Mountain), and the ZiberHaar is great for balm or wax cleansing, as well as general brushing throughout the day.

Researched beard combs and this comb was always at the top of lists. I didn't think a beard brush was a must, but I was wrong. I love using it and just received it yesterday! It's just beautiful and makes my short/medium beard manageable! Haven't used it with cream or oil yet but looking forward to it. The brush feels good in the hand, is solid, comfortable and I like the look of wood with black spots. Now I understand why she is so high on almost every list!

This was my friend's Christmas present after a whole raft of reviews said the brush in the Mountaineer Beard Oil Set was not very good. I'm glad I made the additional purchase! The hair on this brush is nice and coarse, and the brush is light in weight. I liked that they gave the brush a slight curve in the bristles to bring it closer to the face as you go along the jawline.
