Great for a gift! Best in Toy Building

Great for my 5 year old who loves transformers. He's a big fan of Optimus. Finding LEGO transformers to build was hard, and it worked fantastic! He thanked me for such a wonderful gift.

Not as good as the Lego brand

My son loves Lego and loves transformers. I ordered it for his birthday to give as a gift or to put in his gift bags. Four sets came in a box. He built a complete robot and liked the look, but was disappointed that the bricks often came loose and the leg fell off. My experience of Chinese brick sets versus branded Lego sets is correct here: the instructions are much more difficult to follow and the bricks don't snap into place as tightly as Lego. However, my son loved that he made Lego into a…

Suitable for Transformers fans but poor quality building blocks

If you or your kids love Transformers and Lego then this item will suit them. Bricks are an evolution of ancient and Creo megablocks, but they don't have the same bonding strength as traditional Legos. Instructions are printed on a 1 page spread front and back with small images compared to most major brands. Which can make it a little tricky to get everything 100% right without a little work; It is recommended to use a magnifying glass. That being said, my son was thrilled to get and build this

This. Things. ROCK!

I bought these for my 5 year old son for his birthday not knowing it was Lego. To my pleasant surprise, my son loved it! It was a learning curve putting the first one together, but after that it was a breeze, or Lego in this case. You have four "transformers" from which you can build a car or a real robot. Now that you have extra pieces of the epilogue, this is normal, so don't break a cold sweat. To protect them from my younger children I did the trick from the Lego movie and taped them…

Doesn't convert, TERRIBLE purchase

This set is just terrible. These are cheap Legos with terrible instructions. I had to step back from creating a few times to not get too frustrated. Does NOT transform! You have to disassemble the transformer and then torment yourself by converting it into a car. This is NOT for 6 year olds. A 6 year old can't build this alone! I've recently built LEGO sets for kids over 10 and they were MUCH easier to build than this one. And now that I've assembled the transformer, it's so fragile, much more…
