Works as advertised

Be sure to COMPLETELY remove the old bushing. I tried installing these until I realized that the outside edge of the old grommet had "fused" to the inside of the cable gland and ripped off when I pulled it out. This portion of the old bushing filled in the recess where the new bushing was to sit. I had to scrape the old bushing off everyone. As soon as the old bushing was removed, the new one stood up immediately.

Simple - quick repair

Chevrolet Avalanche 1500 2005 2WD: Simple repair. The hardest part was pulling out what was left of the old one. The product is easy to install as shown in the instructions and video. Didn't even have to jack up the truck. Would recommend this as a replacement. Every previous Delco AC replacement has lasted 200,000 so let's see how this one holds up. It's a small detail, of course, and it costs three times more than some of the cheaper alternatives, but if you don't have to worry about itโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Great overall performance

  • Boring packaging

Not suitable for Ford CVPolice 2009 Transm. connection as indicated.

According to the website BushingFix.com 2 different kits were listed as fitting a 2009 Ford CVPolice transmission. cable connection. The other kit (FA1KIT) fits well. This kit (Si2KIT) is not suitable. The details are fine, so I'm not giving a bad review. ALSO note that based on the Revain garage listing for this car, Revain's installation instruction also states that it will fit and states that FA1KIT will NOT fit, although in both cases this information is incorrect.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Expensive

My problem was solved!: Transmission and transmission

2009 Silverado who one day decided to stop shifting gears. I followed the cable and found that the end came loose from the transmission. After a little research I bought this set. It took me less than ten minutes to remove and replace the remaining old bushing. Went smoothly and the little tool that comes with it makes it easy. After installation I replaced my cable and it pulled fine and the damn thing stayed! Great purchase, I recommend this to anyone who has and doesn't have this problemโ€ฆ

So far so good, problem solved.

Problem definitely solved. Installed on a 2010 GMC Terrain 2.4L, the installation was fairly easy. I've used green and it all seems to be holding up well. The dealer wanted about $70 for a new cable so I think it's worth it. The website/video instructions say the hub should outlive the car. So if she can handle the engine/transmission/100F outside temperature combo, it's definitely worth it. Installed September 12, 2021 If this review isn't updated, it's still relevant!

  • Impressive

Attention empties for gearboxes and spare parts

garbage. Save yourself the trouble of finding out it doesn't fit right and pull the part off instead. I tried to attach the supplied part following the instructions for both the video the manufacturer posted on their website and the supplied parts. One piece didn't fit properly in the cable connection, and the other broke instantly with a little manipulation. Almost 30 minutes later I can say that's $30 which I would happily return. I would like to add that I checked the website for the exactโ€ฆ

It works yes I very much doubt if it will hold up.

My '99 Tahoe uses a small black rubber bushing in this kit. Removing what was left of the old bushing was easy with the thin flat head. That little very flexible sleeve is flapping down there. It's easy to install, but when installing the cable you have to be careful that it doesn't push this sleeve out. Even with the right fit, removal is nearly effortless. At $30, that's a huge waist of money. You can get a new ACDelco cable for less than $60. I'm going to get a new cable as I don't trustโ€ฆ
