It was a very bad product, it never lasted more than 7 months in total, software problems, the battery died quickly, in the end I just threw it away. waste of money.

The GPS was accurate, easy to read and adjustable. The controls take time to get used to. So if you're going camping I'd get it at least a few months in advance to learn the system and while the battery life is good at around 34 hours it never hurts to buy an extra battery and charge it before the trip. mine didn't come with an ac charger but it can be charged via usb which is very useful in a pinch but takes longer than the manual says, the battery is fully charged by the ac charger.

Bought this unit about a week ago and it's great. The device comes standard with a US basemap and you need to download the specific areas you want to navigate to. The 128MB micro SD is good for small cards, but if you really want to use it you can upgrade. The book shows that the 128MB chip can be expanded, but doesn't say exactly what.
