This is a less complicated tool than other stretchers. I'm not a pro so I appreciate the ease of use!

I recently used these to fix a chair. I found the plastic works well but isn't very tough. I could bend the plastic with enough force. If you need one for many items I would buy the wooden version.

The product did a good job of stretching the jute ribbon I used to fix the seats in two chairs. The piece was long enough that I could use my knee to hold the pulling pressure while pinning it. An inexpensive way to get the job done. The tool used by uphosters is about double the price of this item. Probably won't stand up to heavy use in an upholstery shop as it's plastic although it worked well for this crafter.
