Bought to fix a violin bow.

I bought these to remove violin bow plugs when doing hair repairs. They are very short, which makes them ideal for work. Like all Osborn instruments, they are top notch.

Pros
  • Excellent overall quality
Cons
  • Embarrassing

very good quality best in Schneider Ahle

Ordered by mistake. I thought I'd order sewing awls. I need to slow down and read the descriptions carefully. All in all very good buds. I can always use a few extra awls. That's all I can say.

Pros
  • Expensive but decent
Cons
  • Something else

Very good product

I'm new to leatherworking but I know a good tool when I have it in my hands. These Silas are said to be well built and insanely sharp. I like that they are made in America. In addition, they feel good in the hand. And ordering two is great. All in all, definitely five stars.

Pros
  • Sewing supplies and supplies
Cons
  • Crumpled

Fits comfortably in your hand when sewing leather

If you need to use them to redraw holes when sewing, they fit perfectly in the palm of your hand while working with the needle and are easy to use when you have enough skilled craftsmanship. Hand to go from needle to awl and back. I also use this to mark points in the leather without noticeably damaging the finished page.

Pros
  • Tailor's Awl
Cons
  • Damaged

Quality Awl

You might think it's an awl and an awl, but I've used everything from fifty cents made in China to handmade fifty dollar awls and there's definitely a difference. These awls are definitely 5 star worthy, I work a lot with leather up to 12-14 oz and these still work like new. No blade deflection or blade body displacement after 100 uses. Highly recommended and I would buy it again myself.

Pros
  • Sewing
Cons
  • Unfashionable
