Impractical in today's world

I am returning this product as it does not accept modern plugs (square or round plugs). This reusable fork's design looks great until you see the "wings" on the sides of the base. This "flare" prevents you from fully inserting square (like cordless phone plugs) or round (like Google Assistant plugs) appliance/device plugs into the female part of multiple plugs. Not useful unless you're using tube plugs.

Pros
  • Beautiful
Cons
  • Good but not great

Poorly designed power strips

I liked how small they are compared to other 6 socket offerings but they are of extremely limited use due to a design flaw. There is a small protrusion on the outer edge, which is probably intended for decoration, but unfortunately prevents anything larger than a standard plug from being able to be inserted. Even the smallest charger I have hits that curve and doesn't provide a full connection.

Pros
  • Crossing my fingers
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Good quality six prong socket adapter

Sturdy plastic body, good electrical contacts, feels quite good when inserted; Overall a good six-way adapter. BTW, I cut off the plastic pin trying to connect to a typical duplex NEMA-15 plug. While this makes the adapter a little less robust, I use the adapter in a hidden area where very small power loads are connected to the adapter. If I were to use this adapter with an outlet, I would probably use it as is (with the plastic stabilizing pin).

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Just short! Dangerous

Ordered two sets of 2. The first set came with a defective socket extension. Plugged in and the switch broke. I tried it in a protected GFI socket and immediately kicked the GFI out. If there is a dangerous manufacturing defect, there is a direct short in the wiring. Pay attention to CableMatters quality control! Incidentally, this is UL-listed, which makes the defect an even bigger problem.

Pros
  • Stable test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Need more outlets?: Power strips and surge protectors

I like the idea of six outlets instead of the usual three. I had a project where I needed four outputs, this solved my problem. Just make sure the total power consumption isn't too high. I'm drawing just over 5 amps with four cells plugged into the outlet.

Pros
  • Sturdy build
Cons
  • Compatibility

An ingenious solution to a common problem

The sockets in my house are full of plugs from various devices and devices. This splitter occupies two outlets, but returns six in return. The ends of your fork don't protrude into space, but run parallel to the wall. One downside: A small protrusion on the inside edge prevents square power adapters (like the Alexa) from fitting fully into the socket. I also suspect that wide plugs might have problems. The entire adapter protrudes approximately 1 3/4" from the wall.

Pros
  • electronics
Cons
  • frequency

High-quality 6-pin socket adapter

Robust plastic housing, good electrical contacts, good connection feel; Overall a good six-way adapter.

Pros
  • Accessories and consumables
Cons
  • Only available in white

Very disappointing, plugs fall out

Had to send this back for a refund. I had the same problem with both devices, the items connected to them didn't fit properly and lost electrical contact. I see so many good reviews that I can only assume I received 2 packages from a bad lot. I see they are UL approved but mine definitely wouldn't pass. When connecting devices, the pins didn't seem to encounter any resistance until the last 1/8 inch, so there was little to no friction to hold them in place. They're already making a comeback…

Pros
  • Power distributor
Cons
  • Some minor issues
