Broke after 4 months of use. Excellent customer service!

After 4 months of use the HDMI end came loose from the cable when the cable was unplugged. Attached is a photo of the defective HDMI end. I'm not sure if I got a lemon or if the quality of this cable is bad? I have contacted the seller. To my surprise they got back with me the same day my letter was posted and offered to send me a replacement immediately. That's excellent customer service that's rare these days! Update: I received the replacement today 2/4/2021 and everything is fine again!

Pros
  • Electronics
Cons
  • Something else

I made the mistake of ordering a 4K monitor before figuring out if it would work with my current ones computers could use. Imagine my surprise when I realized I had a paperweight on my desk temporarily. Luckily, my computer had a DVI connector, so I could use this cable to send a 1K signal (1920 x 1080 resolution) to my 4K monitor. If I later buy a computer with the right graphics card, I'll get the full resolution. This is a bi-directional cable. It's not just HDMI-DVI, but the way I use it is

green screen? fits computer cable adapter

I have previously ordered a Rankie version of this cable and when 2 of them didn't work I decided to try this one. Same problem. I've added pictures of what I see when using this cable. On the screen image you can see that most of the colors have a green cast and the video is fuzzy. I'm keeping the DVI to DVI cable I have, it works but it's too wide so I'm looking for an HDMI to DVI cable. I think it's because of the short pin in the other picture and it's the same problem I'm having with the…

SHOW YOUR COMPUTER ON TV!

I was looking for a solution to display my computer or laptop on my 65 inch TV. This cable is a simple, elegant solution at a very reasonable price and delivered very quickly! It's pretty easy to use, just plug the DVI connector into your computer's graphics card, then plug the other end, the HDMI end, into a second HDMI port on your TV. Then just turn on your computer and switch your TV's input to HDMI-1 (if you're using that as your main video source) with your TV's remote control to the…

Why are the fonts different?

I would say that this cable is excellent value for money and does the job. It converts DVI to HDMI. I'm using DVI from my graphics card on an old desktop PC to a budget projector. The picture quality isn't the best no matter how this projector is connected, but for some reason the fonts in the folder text and file names appear different when I switch from HDMI to HDMI to this option. I've used DVI out to DVI in on a second monitor in the past and never noticed a difference (between the exact…
