Legally suitable for the fastest monitor in the world

I used several adapters because I have a very demanding Yamakasi monitor that *only* accepts a DVI 2560x1440 *Dual Link* signal. It doesn't even seem to turn on. I got sad thinking that I might have to give up this beautiful monitor because all the other adapters either didn't work or were $75+. But this one really works. I have active components and I'm connected to the world's trickiest monitor :D

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Weight

Looks good and fits well, but nobody cares. It was unusable for me - my monitor happened to have a lot of green "sparkles" making it unusable. I used this instead: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00S0BWR2K/ref= ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 This is an active mini DP to HDMI adapter (not DVI), so I had to use a passive HDMI adapter -DVI that I had lying around, but it worked perfectly. The display is perfect, no glitter or other issues I see.

Pros
  • A lot of positive emotions
Cons
  • There are disadvantages

Really works with Eyefinity Radeon HD 7750

This is the only MDP-DVI adapter we found that works properly with AMD Radeon HD 7750 (6 Mini Display Ports). After installing the first two monitors (which can use any adapter), Eyefinity requires an active adapter like this for all remaining monitors. We have a computer with three of these cards for a total of 18 monitors (anyone else want to challenge us?). And this adapter is used on each port, reaching 1920 x 1080 everywhere, which is what our dedicated monitors are designed for. A noteโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • I'm pissed off

It *supports* 2560 x 1440 resolution over a dual-link DVI cable!

I recently installed a Mac Mini (Late 2012 model) on my Windows 10 triple monitor workstation for development purposes and wanted to run 2560 x 1440 resolution on one of my monitors whose DP port was already installed by Windows - Desktop is used. 1440p resolution requires dual link DVI and the adapters I had were single link only so I had to settle for HDMI which this old mini can only handle at 1080p. Not the monitor's native resolution, it has been upscaled and is a bit soft and fuzzy. So Iโ€ฆ

Must buy for every monitor

This is a great compact adapter. I recently bought a Microsoft Surface Pro 4 and docking station. The docking station had mini display ports and my monitors were DVI. This adapter was needed because the others are passive, not active - passive ones don't work. It's ACTIVE and it really works. The devices were very well packaged and have a solid design. The monitor mounting points are very strong and should not come loose. The mini display port fits exactly. Very high quality ADVANTAGES: Output:

1440p 60 FPS on so called DVI-DL (Dual Link ONLY) QNIX Monitor

I chose this product out of 2 or 3 similar ones because another reviewer, Peter, said he had it with the infamous QNIX QX2710 LED to work, which the manufacturer says requires a dual-link DVI cable. I was also skeptical at first because it doesn't have an extra USB socket for the power supply. BUT I can now confirm that it works 100% with the following setup: Lenovo Thinkpad T460 this adapter SINGLE LINK DVI-D cable QNIX QX2710 LED I have my built-in Intel HD 530 graphics manager set theโ€ฆ

Mandatory with Microsoft Surface Dock

I bought 2 cables from Matters with a gold plated Mini DisplayPort to DVI active male to female adapter for my Surface Book and Surface Dock. The product arrived very quickly and in retail packaging, properly boxed to protect during transit. Installation was easy, removing the protective plastic and plugging into my docking station and monitor. My setup consists of a Surface Book, a Surface Dock and 2 View Sonic VA2452SM monitors. View Sonic monitors have an integrated display port, so Iโ€ฆ
