Works to transfer data and power an external hard drive

I used this with another adapter for my Macbook Pro and it worked with my Seagate to extract data to it to my Google Cloud drive. So far, so good. Once I'm done moving it I'll delete it and use Time Machine and then update this review. I received it in one day. The product justified the price, received 2 as described in the description. No damage to the packaging of inner or outer boxes. I hope it continues to work well and will update again once I have success or failure with the Time Machine…

Link Canon 5D Mark IV to Lightroom - works great!

Just received 6th June 2017. Tied to tie to Lightroom with my Canon 5D Mark IV. It worked great and I'm glad I saved over $40 compared to expensive big brands in the market. If I encounter any problems I will update this review. I would have to replace this cable 5 or 6 times before it matches the cost of other brands. If it doesn't break in the next few weeks, I highly recommend this product!

Blue is clearly visible and working as expected

I was looking for 6ft USB 3.0 cables to connect a WD 1TB Black My Passport Ultra-Portable External Hard Drive - USB 3.0 - WDBGPU0010BBK-NESN and a SSD drive to connect enclosure to my Windows PC. I wanted to be able to easily identify drives to connect and disconnect, so I bought the blue cables. I'm happy with the thickness of the cable (some others were flimsy and let me down) and the transfer speed. . The price was great and the quality was as good or better than expected. I have purchased…

Great tethered photo cable at a fraction of the cost

I am a professional commercial photographer with 32 years of experience working with national and international clients. Shooting with Nikon D850 on Apple Macbook Pro 17 inch. I groaned every time I had to buy a 15ft cable from Tether Tools to attach my shoot and had to pay about $60. I couldn't believe the cost of a basic cable, and I don't mind spending money on gear. I bought one of these based on reviews and have been using it for about 1.5 months. That's great! Feels heavier than the…

Powered by passive USB hub for controller

This worked for my purpose of running a USB hub about 15 feet away while still hiding the cable fairly neatly. I'll update when it dies, although it's stationary and only disconnects to the back of the desktop so I don't see any issues. Use something more powerful than a keyboard or mouse. Something like an external hard drive would require a powered USB hub. USB 3.0 delivers up to 1.5-2 amps at most, 2.0 can go up to 2.4, but you probably won't get 2.4 amps from a USB cable. with power input…

Major flaws in quality and use.

Connection failed. My new (3 month old) WD Black Drive started clicking. Worried it was a hard drive failure and I would have to send it back. Switched to a shorter (1ft) old WD external drive cable and it worked great. Thought maybe a cable is bad and as I bought 2 of 3 for a total of 6 I just tried another cable from the pack. 1 month later same problem. The included WD cable worked fine from the start, but I need a longer cable as 1ft is too small for me. I opened and took the cable from the

Good USB3.0 cable at a very good price

These 3 inch USB v3 cables are of amazing quality. much to say. They do exactly what they are supposed to and work very well. Other than that, there are few things to "talk" about (although I REALLY like the blue color, which helps me distinguish between these and other USB cables used here). Definitely recommended and I would buy them again. In fact, I have purchased other Cable Matters cables in the past (many years) and have never had a single fault and have never been disappointed in their…

The thickest charging cable I have ever bought! Also fast!

So I wasn't sure about this cable as the price was cheap. This is literally the thickest cord I've ever seen! I would compare it to the size of a category 5 internet cable and with the color blue it looks the same. It may not seem good that he's fat, but it's really cool that he's fat. Most phone charging problems are caused by broken or damaged internal wires in the phone's charging cable. Anyone who has had a flimsy charging cable knows that the first part to start fraying and breaking is…
