The company recommends drilling a 1 3/4" hole in the wall for this connector. I started with a 1 1/2" diameter hole and then adjusted the rest of the dimensions to accommodate both the male as well as the female end to fit. A tricky thing with this setup is aligning both sides of the hole. I have an entertainment center that is blocking one side of the wall so perfect hole alignment is not possible. There are two tricky parts to installing: lining up the holes on either side and fastening the two pieces together. I decided to do the alignment by first drilling a hole in one side and then using that hole to drill a pilot hole in the other wall from the inside. I found that it was easier to judge if I had correctly set the drill…

Well made product, perfect continuity

I bought 3 5/8" - 5 1/4" to run HDMI and USB cables in my recording studio. Not in the cabin itself, but in the room where the cabin is placed. There was an old "wire under the door carpet" until I replaced the carpet. I couldn't bring myself to put on a new carpet and I didn't want the cables to get pinched by the door when it was closed, so I got one of those instead. Installation was pretty easy. I used a long router with an extension for the pilot holes so the center router had room to pass
