Works but does not solve AMD RX 580 4K@60Hz flickering issue

This cable was purchased to work around a GPU architecture bug that is causing flickering at 4K@60Hz resolution. It didn't fix the problem, but it worked fine. It played 4K at 60Hz with no issues, as well as HDR with the RX 580 and TCL 55S405 TV. AMD Polaris, and judging by other reports, Vega and RDNA both have imperfect HDMI implementations that induce 4K at 60Hz (and possibly other high-bandwidth resolutions). /refresh rate) for intermittent flicker. Although there are no problems with the…

Works well and seems durable

I needed an active converter for my Caldigit dock and second monitor. I bought this one in a hurry and didn't read much about it. When I opened it up I was surprised that it wasn't able to externally power the 'active' aspect and thought I'd have to do another reset, but I tried it anyway and it works great , so I think it consumes energy. from low voltage in HDMI or DP. A good active cable that does not require an external power supply. It seems to be as durable as any average user and it…

4K60 HDR without compromise

This slim cable looks like a standard high speed HDMI cable and works like a cable that converts Display Port 1.4 into a true HDMI 2.0 cable. My main use case for this is the new NVIDIA RTX A5000 GPU as it doesn't have a 4K display, so I went with a 4K HDR TV instead. Typical use cases someone might need HDR for is primarily for color accuracy when editing photos or creating digital media files that require color accuracy. This cable is as affordable as standard high speed HDMI and works as…

Works great with my application 3840 x 1600 @ 85Hz

I originally purchased the Revain Basics version of this cable not knowing it wasn't rated for 4K. After many online shopping comparisons, I jumped at the chance to buy this cable. works great for me! Now I can connect it from the display port to one of my 3840 x 1600 monitor's HDMI ports and get the full 85Hz and color depth that my monitor is designed for. This frees up the display port for my gaming rig, allowing me to get a full 144Hz on that port. The Revain Basics cable gave me a 3840…

Works fine with no problems.

Unlike passive DP to HDMI adapters, this cable has an active chip that converts the DP signal to HDMI. I bought three of these to use on a Ryzen 3200G MSI board with DP and HDMI as the Dell 2719DM monitor only has HDMI HDR inputs. Other PCs are HP Elitedesk 705 G4 and Dell Optiplex 5070 Micro both of which have 3 DP ports. I've tried several DP-HDMI cables and converters. Some didn't work at all, while others could only output up to 1080p, leaving the image looking washed out due to the monitor

Not as advertised

Cable does not support 4k@60hz, computer switches back to 30hz immediately (cable bandwidth limitation). I also tried HDR but the computer doesn't even recognize that the TV supports HDR and yes I have confirmed that the TV is capable of it. . If I lower the resolution or refresh rate I can enable HDR but this cable (Cable Creations) doesn't even recognize that the TV supports HDR which was my reason for buying this cable as it was advertised as 4k@60hz and HDR . Here is the model number of my…

The only cable I've tested that can play 4K HDR

I have an HP EliteBook 840 G6. There is Thunderbolt 3 (USB Type-C). I connected it to an HP USB-C G5 Dock. I'm trying to display an image on a TCL 55R615 TV. This dock has HDMI 2.0 output, but it's not HDMI 2.0a so it can't play 4k HDR. (Source: Wikipedia) To be on the safe side, I tested it with a Monoprice "Premium High Speed" and output 4K. but NOT in HDR. (The HDMI specification states that cables rated "Standard" and "High Speed" will not work and you need cables rated "Premium" for 4K…
