I love it! for crampons

My knees are terrible and if I hurt them again there's not much I can do. That's why I take a lot of precautions in bad weather. This winter my backyard has been turned into an ice rink and I have to take care of my livestock. After putting them on my boots I felt more confident. They hold up well and make me feel safe.

Pros
  • crampons
Cons
  • not sure

DO NOT BUY. for outdoor recreation

Do not buy. Although the product works as described, the fake is cheap. After two uses, about a few hours of walking each day, the rubber broke. This was common in the more popular version, however this break occurred after many other uses. These are cheap materials and the return period was so short I couldn't even get them back. I will never buy again.

Great for early winter.

dad given. He used to have something with metal spikes, which he complained about as they left marks on any surface. He likes these better. He says they go in and out easily. They are not bulky and have good grip. They can be carried in the car and do not interfere with driving. The only thing he's worried about is that they came off on one of his first trips, but that's probably because he's not used to it yet. Good on low ice.

Increased walking safety Possibly

Size ordered Medium crampons for size 10 men's shoes. It was difficult to put on the crampons and then pinch the sides of the shoes. Extra seat belts are a good idea, but they're flimsy, too short, and the Velcro is too flimsy. The straps do not stay closed, making them unusable. Be careful, wearing these crampons while walking on a concrete floor or other hard surface can be dangerous. However, I feel safer on ice and snow.

  • Climbing and ice equipment
Cons

Be careful, wearing these crampons while walking on a concrete floor or other hard surface can be dangerous. However, I feel safer on ice and snow.

Not suitable for hiking!

I wore them on an 8 mile hike with 2500 ft ascent in light snow and ice. The road was rocky. They worked very well until they broke after about 3 miles. The rubber on both shoes ripped in 1-2 different places. I had to keep trying to adjust them to keep from slipping. The descent took twice as long over slippery rocks and broken crampons. I've seen them work well for walking on flat surfaces, but not for long-distance or off-road hiking. They also didn't stretch much in my shoes.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • I will be silent
