🔥 CamelBak Eddy Lava Water Bottle, 0.75-Liter Review

The design gets better every year. The latest model's bite valve doesn't fall off, and the previous major upgrade with a larger straw was a big improvement. My main complaint remains though - it leaks. If you walk around with it while it's pretty full, or just put it on its side, it's bound to leak a little.

Great water bottle, I use it all the time. It's easy and quiet to drink from. Everything around looks well thought out, I love the orange color. So far it seems to be holding up well but I think the mouthpiece will be the first to go (seems to be replaceable). Also the straw is kind of warped, doesn't seem to affect anything other than what has either happened since or I just didn't notice when I got it.

The only problem is that the mouthpiece flows from the top. After each sip, you need to make a habit of biting or squeezing it to get air into the mouthpiece. Otherwise, after 3 minutes, a jet of water will flow from above. I googled it and it looks like a common problem :/ Shame because it's still a really great water bottle. Very sweet and it makes me drink more water every day.

I bought 4 camelbacks and a cleaning kit for me and my family. Everything was well packed in 1 box with bubble wrap or bag. Easy to open, arrived on time, in 2 days. I love camelback products and have used them throughout my 25 year military career. Bought Eddy's to reduce use and consumption of plastic bottles. If you're going to be outdoors and more active, get vacuum flasks instead. Happy with my purchase.

I like that you don't have to tilt your head back to drink from this bottle - I'm a cyclist and if you like yours Tilting your head back while driving makes it difficult to see the road. The reason for the lack of a star is that these bottles are slightly larger than traditional bike bottles and will not fit in the cages you likely have on your bike. I like the idea of this water bottle: waterproof, attaches to a carabiner, etc. I've cleaned this bottle regularly with used dish soap and got into the bite valve regularly. One day I noticed what looked like black mold in the bite valve. I used bleach and was able to remove it but it took a lot of effort. I suggest buying a cleaning kit from the "frequently bought together" section. I realize this was partly my fault as I probably didn't clean the bite valve well enough. This is a good design…

On first use I feel that using the mouthpiece is tightening the muscles in my mouth/throat that perform the drink/bite combination. But I kind of bite it aside and it works for me. I think there's a kind of "sweet spot" for snacking that doesn't get in the way of drinking or overdoing it. Biting + drinking directly is not the best way. Can be washed in the dishwasher. It had some scuffs (open concept packaging, like it's hanging from those metal bars in the store) and I could probably ask for a

My wife and I love these water bottles. We tend to tip things over and also have a small child so the flip top lid and bite valve save a lot of spills. All of the plastic is really strong and durable and we haven't had any leaks. If you notice a small leak at the end of the mouthpiece, be sure to let some water back into the bottle, either with a small airflow, or just leave the end pinched for a split second to allow the water to settle. Otherwise, water stuck in the mouthpiece may "splash"…
