🐪 CamelBak 50oz Kid's Scout Hydration Pack - 2018 Edition Review

My son LOVES his new Camelbak! It's the perfect size for him and also allows him to carry extra fun and snacks! He wears it over a Hufflepuff robe in Universal/Islands.

We love these bags for our kids, they are great for hikes, day camps and trips to zoos and amusement parks. However, I wish the hydration pack had a neoprene sleeve or something to keep you cooler longer. We make giant ice cubes which helps but on a hot day it would be nice to have some more.

Superb packaging. Bought for my 8 year old grandson. It's lightweight and made for its small stature. There is plenty of room for a jacket and lunch or some books or toys. Children like to have their own water source. The novelty of the hose encourages them to drink water. And I don't have to wear her stuff! victory, victory.

Bladder leakage under the lid, even if it is tightly closed. There was enough water in the bladder pocket to flow out. It has two functions: to hold water, to supply water through a hose when needed. He fails miserably at his first task. Water not only drips out of the sealed lid, it flows out. To return.

This backpack was the perfect size for my 4 year old while still having more than enough room to grow into it. He had easy access to water and plenty of extra room for things he found along the way. Ws also got one for my 2 year old but it was too small for him. When we filled it with water (about half way) it seemed unbalanced. But overall a great backpack for hiking with small children.

My daughter is 8 years old and this bag was perfect for her during our recent holiday. She was able to stay hydrated and the bag wasn't too heavy or bulky to carry all day, every day. The first day she just chewed on the mouthpiece because she kept the mouthpiece in her mouth for too long, but hopefully it's easy to replace. It's now dripping a little around the mouthpiece because she nibbled a hole.

Perfect and VERY light for our 7 year old girl. She likes having her own backpack with space to put everything she wants to take with her when she travels. We chose the Scout over the Mini Mule because it adds variety when we want to carry more than just a small snack. I'm glad we did. It was a bit chilly on our first hike and she was able to tuck her light jacket into her backpack when she was ready to take it off. We found the straps were too wide and sewn too tightly together for our 5 year old. The straps rubbed the sides of her neck. Also, the free end of the straps had no built-in controls. Usually the CamelBak has a built in elastic or velcro to roll up the loose end but this one only had an elastic which I'm sure will get lost on first use. We brought that back in favor of the CamelBak Mini Mule, which is great but has less storage space. We think the straps on the mule are much better and it also…
