I used these to build a ski rack for my car. They work well and hold just fine but the 5/16” threaded inserts are not quite right. Very hard to screw a 5/16 bolt into the threads. I had to insert and remove and insert and remove the bolts until I could fully seat the bolts. Something else with 1/4” threads might be better.

The suction cup worked great on a variety of surfaces from smooth to crinkly we use it most in our rv so we do not have to put nails or screws in the walls.Most recently we also purchased the 3 inch models to put up motion detector lights on the outside of our trailer they worked great.We had one problem with the and the plunger mechanism but the customer service responded quickly and got me out a new one that was great . Awesome product, used as outrigger haylard mounting eye. No need to drill holes into the boat. I ended up spray painting the black rubber cups with white rustolem to better match the boat. Mounted stainless eyes onto the mounting point on the suction cup.Holds great, looks great, I'm a happy bouy.

Needed to mount something long but skinny on the top of my car. I got two 4” and one 6” mounts. I put the 4’s together with a metal brace then mounted a super clamp to the 6. Drove at 85mph for a couple of hours and it had no sign of vacuum leak. Very strong and convenient.

Seems like a fairly well built suction cup and certainly isn't cheap, but I can't rate any higher since it isn't compatible with the screw size it claims it is. Needed for a trip and now I have to go to my machine shop and hopefully rethread these.
