📷 CAMVATE C-Clamp for Camera Monitor, 1/4 and 3/8 Thread Hole, Red T-Handle Review

This clamp has really helped me in many ways and many times. Just a great all-purpose clip. Now I have 6 of these in the studio and we take them to the site to solve setup problems. High quality and perfect number of mounting holes in the clamp.

These clips looked perfect until I tested them in the field. I needed a set of clips for my video bag to install the gimbal extensions. To my disappointment, they don't open wide enough to accommodate a 2" hole. I like the flat top and all the holes, but there's no indication of the maximum size.

The "c" part of the clamp is great - just what I was hoping for. Plenty of 1/4" screw positions and quality material. The handle itself is also of good quality, except it doesn't match the threads of the screw or the set screws that come with it. One of the small set screws fell out in shipping, and the other doesn't hold up .The handle doesn't sit properly on the larger screw as the threads mismatch slightly. Definitely doesn't last very long and I won't attach this to anything without a vise…

Worked great for my application. Used to mount it to a 1-1/2" square rail to support camera recording equipment for testing. I bought a "Sioti" ball mount to mount the camera. The first one worked fine so bought one I used a different clamp for the second installation. The clamp has rubberized feet for a better grip and has a groove on one side for easier handling of round pipes. The large handle was good to get a really firm grip on. Threaded bolt holes are sloppy. The V-groove in the clamp cannot be used for mounting on a round tube, as the tie bolt is drilled off-centre into the lower V-groove and screwed in. When you tighten the clip, it moves sideways because the metal shank is not tight. I don't mind paying good money for good products that will do the job right, but this round pipe clamp is a flop. This clip looks cool and feels versatile. I think this is a better pipe clamp than a table clamp. Here are two specific disadvantages: (1) It would be much more useful if it included a 1/4'-20 male thread. Anything I wanted to install with this clamp required a male adapter, as did the clamp. If you don't already have this part, this clip won't help you. (2) The T-handle makes it difficult to work in tight spaces such as B. a clamp under a table.
