🍓 CanaKit Raspberry Pi 4 Starter PRO 64 Kit - Upgraded Aluminum Edition (4GB RAM) Review

The best starter kit for Raspberry Pi. I found myself learning new things and reusing old ones. With other websites I am close to building a smart mirror but also interested in buying an 8G kit for more complex projects as well as a monitor and case combo.

I used this with my laser cutter to make it wifi accessible via the Lightburn bridge. Many use it for OctoPi and it works great for that too. There's a whole Pi world out there and I'd love to do some dev work to see if I can set up less Frankenstein for some of my stuff.

For a 32-bit device, I'm pleasantly surprised by its performance. I have used the RIP in conjunction with DMR radios for several years but never considered using it as a desktop computer. Unfortunately, the user cannot enter the IP address of this device and use a web browser to configure it. You need a monitor, a keyboard and a mouse. WiFi function is also available.

No fan, LOW power consumption, good performance, what don't I like? The aluminum case works. CPU temperatures are within a safe range for moderate/heavy usage. This is ideal for email, browsing, and applications with moderate memory/CPU cycle requirements. Am I going to edit the next great novel/screenplay based on this one? Probably no. Most other uses are perfect for this little gem. Get one and have fun. 4 stars because nothing is perfect.

The raspberry board is really very small I said the size of the card but it's good I notice that the protective cover is heating up but I think it's because it Heat dissipates passively with no fans, which is great and no noise. I wish the kit included an aluminum heatsink for the RAM. but in itself a very good product, I was surprised by the quality of the case; Its construction is made of good material. I bought two of these cards and all the hardware in the boxes worked fine. But CanaKit doesn't do any of that, they just pack everything together. The only part they "create" is the image on the SD card and two of them were corrupted. After recreating one with a fresh copy of NOOBS and the other with Raspberry PI imaging software, both were bootable. The Raspberry Pi 4 turned out to be a nice little gadget. One I would highly recommend to anyone with a desire and thirst for knowledge, problem solving, experimentation, engineering or just plain old fun.
