Super great camera. With an easy to use menu and a very friendly interface, I think this camera can be used by any beginner. Best of all I found it cheaper on Revain than any other store or website I look at. It had everything I needed and the user manual was the first one I read showing all the shortcuts and easy ways to use the camera. I googled and searched YouTube for the specifics of the camera and now I'm sure I can use it for auditions and the mini movies I've shot!

The HF G20 is an upgrade of the smaller HF M31 which I have been using for three years with great results. The hot shoe is a MINI-HOT SHOE, so the pistol mic I bought has a regular base that doesn't fit! Looks like a great camera with tons of options. I say "seems" because I had it in less than a day. I like the button layout and the ease of switching between manual and auto modes. I have an HF M500 and these functions are performed via the touchscreen where the G20 has switches for this, as well as auto and manual focus.
