Don't buy until the ink is available.

Excellent printer, like the previous generation Pixma Pro-100. The print quality is bright and high for the price of this device. Unfortunately the price was $100 more than the discontinued pixma-100 and they released this printer before the ink. I would advise anyone looking to buy this to do so but wait for the ink cartridges to become available.

Easy to use quality printer

I bought this printer to print high quality photos and holiday cards. Setup was easy. Unpack it, do a test print and connect it to the network. Canon's professional print layout is easy to use. Simply upload your photos, choose a layout and the paper size used. Many additional settings and customizations are also available. I've only printed a few 8.5x11 and 13x19 photos, but the ink hasn't decreased much. The quality for this price convinces me.

Longtime Epson guy turns to Canon.Meh!

As quality matters most but I have problems with the car. Not an intuitive product I'm afraid. I haven't been using it for very long though. The time will show. Now I would not honor him highly. I only switched from Epson because they dropped two of my printers from their product line - stopped making ink for one and stopped making the other. Also, I've read too many negative reviews about the cheapness of the materials used and the quality. So, I love this product, but I'm struggling with the…

Not happy with Mac!

This is my third Canon printer. You have to learn how to get all the work out of the box, add all the cartridges, follow the entire manual, get everything right. Sit half a day with technical work and Revane's work. Only to find out Canon doesn't work with my Mac. How can I find out to get one? No comments on the item, but put everything together after purchase, let sit another day and then send it back to Revain! I have no idea what to do. I don't wait 2 weeks for a refund. I still have no…

Ink is sold out but Canon is still selling

It took me over an hour to get help from Canon. To his credit, the rep was well spoken and fairly knowledgeable, although little did he know the ink wasn't available anywhere. I was not pleased with this as our business depends on a working printer at all times and I am unable to get ink for most of February and now mid March I find it unfair that Canon is continuing to sell this printer. They also do not refund, replace, or upgrade for an additional fee. Well, Canon, stop selling until you can

Extremely difficult to set up and no ink available

This printer prints great but: (1) It is extremely difficult to set up and use with the Canon supplied software. I'm pretty computer savvy. I couldn't and it took a Canon tech over an hour to figure it out after taking control of my desktop. Unless you are at least not a very experienced computer user, don't even think about buying one. (2) It is programmed to use only Canon paper. You can use most other types of paper, but it's not easy. (3) It comes with eight ink cartridges but you won't…

Worth Every Penny - Office Electronics

First off, the seller of this item has excellent customer service. My package was lost in transit and a replacement was sent which arrived the next day. Now my thoughts on the Canon Pixma Pro-200. This printer is expensive, but not as expensive as some of the larger options. The printer itself was easy to set up. It took me less than 15 minutes to fully install everything, but I'm tech savvy so it may take a bit longer for less experienced users. There are many paper size and type options. They

Good quality printer (and YES, it comes with ink.)

First of all, previous reviewers' claim that ink doesn't come with it is dead wrong. If they hadn't ripped open the box like an 8 year old did for Christmas, they might have noticed that the 8 ink cartridges are sandwiched between two pieces of cardboard at the top (first thing I noticed when I opened the box, also an 8, 5 x 11 paper sample gloss) SMH. With that in mind, the printer was also very easy to set up. It took me 30 minutes (with or without time) to unbox, set up, calibrate and print.
