Works well. The only problem I see is that the battery doesn't last long. The indicator lights up all the time, indicating that the entire battery life has expired. It's quite old so that's to be expected.

Camera not working. Insert the cassette, close it, then the camera will reopen with an on-screen message to remove the cassette. Regardless of the cartridge used (all camera sizes of course) the problem is with the camera, not the specific cartridge.

The camera did not work properly. All playable tapes, including those left in the camcorder by the seller, skipped during playback. I ended up borrowing a friend's camcorder and all my tapes played just fine. So I have to conclude that this particular camcorder was defective. I hope the seller will refund my money for the purchase.

I bought it and owned it for two days. It's a decent MiniDV, but you get more for the price! Noise was a big problem. The motor is just loud and barely audible in quiet scenes. If you already have a camcorder or are looking for something to create movies suitable for submission to Sundance, this camcorder probably isn't for you.
